Our tree is artifical so we can have it up as long as we want. We ususally use white twinkling lights. We put and angel I made on top. We usually put it up Thanksgiving weekend and take it down after the New Year when we get to it. We have tons of ornaments, mostly Hallmarks and we have been collecting them for 29 years. Eveyone gets to put on their ormnanets as we talk about them as we do.
This year we decided to put the Christmas village in the family room and all the snowmen on the piano. I also put my Nativity's in various places in the living room and then there is one one on the fireplace in the family room.
We got a new 7 1/2 foot tree this year and it looks like a noble fir.
We actually got it all decorated before Thanksgiving this year. I made the patchwork tree skirt when Andrew was a baby and we use it every year.
I also made stocking for everyone around 1991. This is the last year Andrew will be with us as a single man.Marina had been helping us decorate the tree for a few years and I know it will be a tradition for them too.
I got the It's a Small World Ornament for my birthday this year from Andrew
and I love it. I hope we can go to Disneyland this Christmas season.
