I saw an idea online to put a tree in a tin barrel but it did not work with my big tree.
So I tried a smaller one you see in the picture above.
I started decorating the Thanksgiving week, starting with my Christmas village.
It takes a lot of time to set up, but I really enjoy it. Every year I try to do new things
with my Christmas decorations. I added a few Nativity sets to my collection and made
the Peanuts Nativity my main one for this year since I have grandchildren now.
One of our new traditions is going to Knott's Berry Farm and this year it
was really nice to see the kids have fun and we all enjoyed the Chicken dinner.
I enjoyed the lights come on as the sun was
setting. I especially enjoyed the music playing, the traditional songs I learned
at school and church while growing up. I was especially happy to see a Nativity
displayed as we entered the park.
