What's new for 2006???
Well last year I began a diet and lost 14 pounds!
My son got married on May 14, and I was able to
fit in the dress I chose. I stayed slim until the
holidays and now I have gained back about 5 pounds.
So time to get back to eating right and exercising.
I started scrapping last year and want to really
work on it this year too.
I really want to get organized! Less mess is less stress!
I want to get back to my regular Bible reading. My recovery
group starts back up on the 5th so I need to get ready for that.
I want to tighten up the belt on spending and get ready for
our trip to Alaska. We also need to get our will done.
And mostly, I want to draw closer to my family and my God.
So how did I do in 2004? I did spend more time in the Bible
and did a few studies and leaned a lot from them. I want to
do the same for this year and forever.
My relationship with my daughter really got better and we
did more things together. I think I had more patience overall
with everyone and spent more time at home with the family.
This year our son gets married and so we will be getting ready
for that. Family is so important!
I did not do well on diet and exercise but I am this year. My
hubby got diagnosed with diabetes so we are making some
eating changes around here for everyone!
I did complete my classed and on Jan. 6th the recovery group
started and I look forward to what God will do for us.
I really enjoy my computer time but I did cut back some.
I am ready to start scrapbooking and my daughter want to
also. So she got a real cute book. Memories are forever!
List 5 things that you would like to accomplish in 2004
Every year as the New Year rolls around, we
talk of New Years resolutions. Webster's states
that a resolution is 1. a firm determination;
2. an act of resolving to do something.
3. A course of action determined or decided on.
My first thing would be to get back on schedule
with my Bible reading and spending time with God.
My goal last year was to read through the Bible
and I made it through the Old Testament.
I would also like to learn more verses.
The next thing would be a better wife and mom.
I want to be more patient with my daughter while
still guiding here and teaching her the Bible.
We just started the "cuss box" that everyone has
to pay into. Words are ranked where you have to pay
from .25 -$1.00 per word. We all got together to
decide what words were worth what. We are trying to
break the habit of using any type of language that
puts someone down, or is outright bad. So that is
what I want to continue and see if habits can be broken.
My next thing is to get back on track with my health.
This would include eating, exercising and losing weight.
I will have to journal and get some accountabilty here.
I go on a cruise at the end of Feb. and it would be great
to lose a few pounds before I go.
In January I begin a class in lay counseling at church
with the Pastor of Counseling. This will be a 6 month class
with 5 books and homework. I want to be faithful to going
to every class. This will help me decide if I want to go
for my Masters in counseling.
The final thing would be to watch my time on the net.
I love working on my pages and blogging. I just want
to make sure it does not over shadow my priorities.
So this will require better time management on my part!
