New candy cane stocking holders. Everyone asked if they would work. This year I sent out 2 different Christmas Cards. I was in a Christmas exchange with online friends and got lots of cards! My whole family met at Miguel's for or annual dinner and gift exchange on Dec 21st. We also sang Happy Birthday to Oliver. Avery and Ysela are missing. The grandkids enjoyed making cookies last year so we did it again. The grands are all wearing their gingerbread aprons. That the picture above to go to our baking page, but read the rest first. Mema doing last minute wrapping... While the kids slept.... Santa visited..... The grands came downstairs..... and into the family room... Look, Santa ate some cookies and drank the milk. Before opening stockings, we had breakfast. Waffles and Mickey pancakes, hash browns, scrambled eggs, chorizo, tamales and turn over eggs. Did I mention coffee??? We gathered in the family room to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus! After the stocking were opened, we went to the front room to open gifts. Jazzy made this in Sunday School and she put it on the Nativity tree. After presents were done, Andrew's family went home and Daniel and Mel went to visit her family. We all met up again for dinner. While Daniel and Mel were heating up tamales, others were taking pictures. Chicken tamales, green chili chicken enchiladas, fresh beans, rice, potato salad, avocado, salsa. Desserts: besides cookies we had... Banana nut tamales with whip cream, Daniel and Mel's creation. Mexican bread and Mexican hot chocolate. Thank you for visiting!
