Welcome!
"Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted
as head over all. 1 Chronicles 29:11
~Hubbard Glacier, June 27th~
Our ship was the first to arrive at the Hubbard Glacier
We arrived around 6 in the morning and it was cold.
Imagine a natural freezer of blue ice. It was breathtaking!
Staff had trays of hot coffee and chocolate to purchase.
Our whole group got seats together, but as we neared
the glaciers, we climbed to higher levels to get good views.

Suddenly you would heard a thunderous cracking
as the glacier was "calving" large chunks of glacier
were breaking off to become icebergs.
a href>
a href>
We were in a sea of ice and some of the icebergs
were as big as cars and that was the portion we could see!

Enjoying the tradition of hot split pea soup in bread.

Did I say I was cold?

Elliot looking for whales. We did see a humpback,
but could not get a picture of it or the Dahl porpoises.
