Akua-God, Wai-water

Jr watched the travel show when they featured Giovanni's Shrimp Truck.
Though there were several other shrimp places, this was suppose to be the best.

The shrimp was tasty, but dad had bbq chicken from a Korean Food truck.

Jr took this picture of family brining in more shrimp and rice.

It rained a lot while we were here, but we did fine. Bought some shirts for the guys here. Next stop was in Halaweia for our shaved ice that we missed out on 2009. Matsumoto's is suppose to be #1, but the line was way to long and we were told by our tour guide that Aioki's was just as good so that is where we went.

Lots of horses here, brought over for the King who liked his polo matches.

I read about Kawaiahao Church and the Mission House Museum
in a book called Sisterchicks Do The Hula.
The book was written by my Santa Ana High classmate, Robin Jones Gunn
So making a visit here was on my to do list. But we got here late and the
Mission House was closed. But the cemetery was still open and luckily for
me, the security guard said I could make a quick visit in the church.

After I took this picture, I sat in one of the pews and said a prayer of thanksgiving.
I wanted to come to a Sunday service, but could not fit it in. But at least I was
able to still see the church and Thank God for all He gives us!

While working on this page, I went to the church website to listen to the
message I missed on June 24th. The verse the pastor used was the same
one my pastor used on July 8th when I went to church. God talking for sure!

Notice how Mother is on the top of her headstone.

While waiting for dad's hamburger, we watched Hula Dancers performing by our Hotel
on Lewer's Street. After this performance, they were off to another location.

After a quick change, Jr and I went out to dinner at Helena's
We are here in 2009 and the food was great!
